Falling in Love

The Perspector was made for the Global Game Jam 2014, following the theme: "We don't see things as they are, we see them as we are." I was part of a team of ten people as both a game designer and lead artist. Click the link below to read more about it. (Download the package to play it. Don't use the web player on the page.)

The Perspector

Made in about eight hours for the American Greetings Hack-a-thon 2013, Falling in Love is an Android-based mobile game designed around the theme of happiness, laughter, and love. I contributed art and design to this project. The player is a woman who is falling, trying to catch her lost love letters. They must be collected in a specific order in order to win. My team, Blind Horizon Studios, won First Place in the Games category. You can see our happiness here.

This short game about our greatest fears was made in 48 hours. The theme we (BHS) were given to work with was the symbol of Ourobouros, the snake biting its tail. My team created a game about a player who was trapped in a multi-leveled dungeon until he could face and defeat his greatest fear. I contributed art and game design to this project.

Side Projects

These were smaller projects done in my free time with various groups, usually as a part of a game jam. The scope is much smaller, but the amount of work and passion put into each shows in the final products.

Defense of the Commons

This game is being produced by a group of students as a research project for a professor at RIT. The intention of the game is to teach its players the concept of the economic dilemma, "tragedy of the commons", through the accessibility of mobile networking and online players. The design of the game was a collaborative effort by myself, the professor, and two other students. I'm the main artist, as well. This game is not currently available to the public, but you may see some of the work I've done by clicking the image above.
