Art, Game Design
June 2012 - March 2013
Energy Drive started out as Us Saving Billions, which was a short prototype game created in 48 hours for the ImagineCup competition in December 2011. The game was originally made in C# with XNA as a 2-Dimensional game, and is now a 3-Dimensional game developed in Unity.
Energy Drive is a resource management game that tackles the serious implications of the battle for balance between clean energy and polluted air. The current game was made, as stated, with Unity and JavaScript, with models developed in Autodesk Maya, and 2D art and textures created in Adobe Photoshop.
My team met twice weekly to work on Energy Drive during the school year. We had stand-ups on Tuesdays to discuss our progress, and had six-hour work days on Fridays to finish the game. This project was my first big step towards working for a real company.
